The charts below show how an average household budget was divided in two different countries in 2020. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
What the chart shows
Two pie charts showing how an average household budget was divided across five categories in two countries in 2020, in percentages. Country A: Housing 35% (the largest share), Food 25%, Transport 20%, Leisure 12%, Other 8%. Country B: Food 40% (the largest share), Housing 22%, Transport 15%, Other 15%, Leisure 8%. The main contrast is that in Country A housing was the biggest expense, whereas in Country B food dominated the budget. Households in Country A also spent more on transport and leisure, while Country B spent a notably larger share on food and 'other' items. Each chart totals 100%.
