The diagram below shows how waste paper is recycled into new paper. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
What the chart shows
A process diagram with seven stages showing how waste paper is recycled into new paper. First, waste paper is collected. Second, it is sorted to remove unsuitable material. Third, the sorted paper is mixed with water and broken down into a pulp (pulping). Fourth, the pulp is cleaned and the ink is removed (de-inking/cleaning). Fifth, the clean pulp is pressed between rollers to squeeze out water. Sixth, it is dried. Finally, new paper is produced and can re-enter the cycle. The process is essentially a loop, turning a used product back into a usable raw material.
