The graph below shows the average annual coffee consumption per person, in kilograms, in four countries between 1990 and 2020. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
What the chart shows
A line graph of average annual coffee consumption per person, in kilograms, in four countries (Finland, Brazil, Japan and India) at 1990, 2000, 2010 and 2020. Finland is the highest throughout and rises steadily from 11.0 kg in 1990 to 12.5 kg in 2020. Brazil is second and grows most strongly, from 4.0 kg to 6.2 kg. Japan is roughly flat, edging from 3.0 kg up to 3.6 kg in 2010 before dipping slightly to 3.5 kg in 2020. India is the lowest throughout but more than triples, from 0.4 kg to 1.3 kg. Overall, consumption rose in every country except Japan (broadly stable), and the gap between Finland and the rest remained large.
