The charts below give information on the location and types of dance classes young people in a town in Australia are currently attending.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.
What the chart shows
Two charts. A pie chart, "Location of dance classes", shows: Private studios 48%, School halls (after-school) 24%, College-based studios 10%, and Community halls & other (the remaining share). A bar chart, "Types of dance classes (by age group)", shows the number of students taking Ballet, Tap and Modern, split between the under-11 and 11–16 age groups (0–700 students). (Refer to the charts in Cambridge IELTS 19, Test 4, Writing Task 1.)
How it is marked
Task Achievement, Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammatical Range and Accuracy — the four official IELTS criteria, each with its own band and a written reason. Write at least 150 words.
