What the chart shows
Process diagram — "Biofuel production: how ethanol is made". The flow chart shows how energy from sunlight and carbon dioxide allows plants and trees to grow; the plant material is then put through pre-processing and processing to extract cellulose and sugars, which are converted into ethanol, releasing carbon dioxide at several stages.
